So you think property restrictions are bad news, huh?  Well, how'd you like to have this move in next door?  

 ...And this makes it seem pretty nice in comparison to what it's like actually standing out there with the clothespin on your nose.

Actually, this photo makes it look MUCH better than it really is.  In all fairness, you'd need a 360-degree view (or maybe aerial photography-see below) to do justice to this situation.  The whole mess actually covers about a two acres.  You can imagine what it does for the surrounding property values. 

In fact, the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources, which refers to it as a "private dump" has placed a $100-a-day fine on the owner until he gets it cleaned up, but that was years ago.  So, whaddaya gonna do?   Even the state claims they don't have the funds to clean it up.
