The
headwaters of the Jack's Fork consist of Pine Creek and the North and
South "Prongs" of the river. Dixon's Crossing is located
along the South Prong just downstream from where Pine Creek enters the
larger branch.
Nearly
all of the land in this area is devoted to large cattle farms.
It's been this way as long as anyone can remember because this is the
best land that the early settlers claimed, and since then, these have been
the most successful ranches.
