This is something we've
never tried before. And frankly, I doubt it we'll
do it again, because it's about as much trouble
as it's worth to us. A few years back, we made a
deal to purchase several larger tracts of land
from a bank in Reynolds
County. What we call the Webb
Creek Campsites came along as sort of a
by-product of the deal. Someone had divided this
area into similar strips and sold them all
sometime in the dim past, but they never made any
provisions for road easements. To get to each
parcel, you walk in. Well, we didn't
want to go to the effort to get easements from
the 8 or 10 other owners either, but we thought
that since lots of you talk about buying land to
camp on and bunches more of you like cheap real
estate, we'd just sell these parcels as they are,
WITH NO ACCESS ROADS. You can still do anything
you want with them (subject to the laws of
Missouri and human decency) and we'll sell them
to you so cheaply that none of your friends will
believe it.
GETTING THERE:
These campsites are just a few miles from
Clearwater Lake in southern Reynolds County.
Since there's no road, you'll need a topo map and some idea of
how to use it. Here's the plat:
